Q: We recently bought a Toyota certified Sienna. And after a month we found that we need to replace the brake pads. Now the dealer says it is too late to consider repairs. Is there a time limit for dealers to consider wear and tear repairs after purchase on certified vehicles.
A: Most CPO's do not cover normal wear and tear items like brake pads, wiper blades, air filters, etc. Toyota may have been willing to make a good will offer to you had you brought it back within a week. But they aren't obligated to. I agree, a month is too long a time to wait before you brought it back for pads. Pads can get a lot of wear on them in that time.
