Q: ok im in 8th grade and i got really mad/annoyed by this bitchy ass white/black/rican [or w.e she is] lady ok so like in the morning my friends and i wait for our bus to come.but we stand on the street but were not in the middle of the stree.but that lady said we are!!nd how she cant drive around us while there's so much space for her to drive around us but she don't!!!!! she drives so close to the sidewalk and im here like yelling back at her saying we dont have to move out her way cause she can drive around like everyone does,cause like were just standing there not in ANYONE way then boom that bitchy ass lady comes and curse at us honking the horn saying shes gonna call the cops on us cause we won't move out of her way! wtf is that? **__so my question is how far from the sidewalk can a person drive close to?__** HELP PLEASE SO WHEN THE COP DO COME OR THE NEXT TIME SHE COME I CAN GET BACK AT HER SO SHE CAN SHUT THE FCK UP BOUT THIS.! <3 THANKS [=
A: A person can drive as close to the sidewalk as they want, as long as they are on the actual road. BUT...It is unsafe to do so. If there are pedestrians on the sidewalk or on the side of the road, it is common courtesy to move your car farther away from the sidewalk. If a driver has room to drive around a pedestrian without driving into the oncoming lane, then he or she should do so. So, you are both right, to a certain extent. She should move around you if she has room, but you also should not be in the road if at all possible.
